David Falke’s Testimony:
I was raised in a Christian family and we attended a small charismatic church in Chantilly, VA. As I grew up, I had a lot of questions for my parents about Christ and his Salvation. I do not know the exact date or time of my conversion, but God was working on my heart throughout my teenage years. I identify being saved at a church retreat when I was about ~15 years old at an evening service. This is where I felt God meet me in a unique way through an extended time of ministry and prayer. This is when I really felt a genuine desire for repentance and God started his work of sanctification. I still struggled to obey my parents at times, but God was faithful and he was with me. Through my high school and college years I was very active in our church, youth group and college ministries. I distanced myself from friends at school and surrounded myself with fellow believers and trusted in God to lead me. I am grateful to God and his sovereignty to keep me through these critical years of my life. He has blessed me with an amazing wife and 4 wonderful children. During this period of time, He used a number of verses to guide and comfort me, but here are a few: Deuteronomy 31:8, 2 Chronicles 7:14, and Philippians 4:8.
David Falke’s Vision:
I desire and have a passion to see the next generation grow and thrive in our church through Spirit-filled worship, applicable gospel-centric preaching and deep community. I am so thankful to God for the many young families and people He has entrusted to our church. I want to find ways to engage and encourage them through the life of our church, supporting them starting with children’s ministry to five 15, through their years at college, and to starting a family. I am looking forward to getting to know more people in our church and building deeper community. In addition to some new responsibilities as an elder, I plan on continuing to serve in children’s ministry, serving on the Financial Advisory Committee, leading the personal finance ministry, teaching the finance class and helping the church with special projects.
