From Saturday, July 1, to Sunday, July 9, we have the blessing of welcoming 27 graduated seniors and 5 chaperones from Oasis Christian School in Santiago, Dominican Republic. This school is part of the ministries of Iglesia Cristiana Oasis–the church receiving a team of 19 from our church for missions this summer!
Throughout our week, we get to share Christ’s love with them by showing hospitality, serving them, and taking them around to explore the sights and sounds of the DC area. Please prayerfully consider if you could be a part of welcoming our friends from the D.R. through one or more of the opportunities listed below.
We are still in need of:
- Housing – we are still in need of housing for 6 male students!
- Transportation – to and from locations in the mornings and evenings
- Biggest need!
- Mt. Vernon on Tuesday, July 4
- Kings Dominion & Soak City on Thursday, July 6
- We need drivers for all days!
- Biggest need!
- Snacks – we’d like to receive the students with snacks for them to consume throughout the week. Please drop them off at the church lobby in the designated basket. (Follow the Dominican Flag!)
