RGCU: Talking About Race
March 19 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
As men and women made in the image of God and redeemed by the blood of Jesus we have been not only be reconciled to God, but to one another. Yet both in the world and the church there is still great division across various parts of life, including race and ethnicity. Christians today are tempted and challenged in various ways when it comes to having honest conversation about race and racism, including our congregation. But as gospel people who are called to be ambassadors of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19), we have a responsibility and opportunity to engage the hard, but important issue of racism and racial reconciliation. How do we do this? What does it look like to engage and effect change rooted in the grace and mercy of Jesus? This book study will help us to learn how to talk about race and so we can not only love the world around us, but love one another to the glory of God.
