RGCC StaffVolunteer Spotlight (1056 × 816 px) (820 × 312 px)

At Redeeming Grace Church, we believe the church is not a building, it’s people serving together to glorify God. We will periodically highlight a volunteer or staff member who serves with RGC because they make everything we do possible!

To start off this series, we want to introduce you to Michael Deck, our new Facilities Manager!

What do you love most about RGC?

"The thing I love most about RGC is the people! I am so thankful to be a part of a church family that values community, service, God's word, evangelism, and worship."

What does a “typical week” look like for you in your role?

"A typical week on the job looks like repairing light fixtures, managing small or large projects, scheduling inspections, fixing leaky toilets, and more."

How do you see God and the mission/vision of the church connected to your work?

"I'm thankful that I get to work as the facility manager so that I can be a part of stewarding the wonderful building and land God has graciously given to us. I hope that our church members, and anyone else who steps foot on our property would feel welcomed, loved, and cared for. Ultimately, my hope is that we would steward this building well, so that God would be glorified."

Could you tell us some interesting facts about you?

"I am the youngest of five and have been at this church my whole life. I recently got engaged to Natalie McCarthy. She went to Sojourn, and I went to Redeeming Grace so I am really thankful that we decided to become one new church. 😉 I love cooking, watching football, playing soccer, walking my dog Harley, and spending time with my family."
