The Falke Family (2)

At Redeeming Grace Church, we believe the church is not a building, it’s people serving together to glorify God. We regularly highlight volunteers and staff members who serve with RGC because they make everything we do possible!

Today, we want to introduce you to the Falke Family, which includes Dave, Rebekah, Desmond (16), Keira (14), Owen (12), and Mikaela (9).

Here is what members of the church had to say about them:

"It’s such a blessing to be part of the community with the Falkes! Their whole family truly shows Christ's love through the way they selflessly serve in our church. We really appreciate how Dave and Rebekah include their kids in their service, setting a wonderful example for them and for others about how meaningful and joyful it is to give back. We also admire the Falkes' strong commitment to doing what’s right and their dedication to making our church the best for our Savior. Dave and Rebekah lead their family well at all times, not just at church. We have the honor of living in the same neighborhood, and it is a gift to see how they reflect Christ to their neighbors and friends. We're so thankful for Dave, Rebekah, Desi, Keira, Owen, and Mikaela!"

"'Here I am, send me.' (Isaiah 6:8) This scripture encapsulates the spirit of the Falke family. David and Rebekah exemplify a profound commitment to serving the body of Christ at Redeeming Grace Church, embodying a joyful and eager willingness to contribute. David's dedicated role as an elder, alongside their nurturing care for the children in Grace Kids and Five15 Youth Ministry, and the homeschool Co-op, reflects the heart of their ministry. However, the spirit of service extends beyond David and Rebekah; it is a cherished value embraced by their entire family. Their children enthusiastically join them in ministry. If there’s an event at the church, you can always count on a Falke to be there, pouring their hearts into every task. Their deep love for the Lord and Redeeming Grace Church shines brightly, blessing all who have the privilege of knowing them. Thank you, Falke family, for your readiness to answer the call and for your steadfast service to Christ and His church.

What volunteer roles are you involved in?

Dave serves as a non-staff elder at RGC, providing oversight to Grace Kids, the Homeschool Co-op, Finances, and IT. Rebekah serves in Grace Kids in the Grasshoppers class on Sundays and is also part of the Homeschool Co-op Leadership Team. Desmond is a facilities assistant at RGC and enjoys working with everyone on staff. Keira serves in the nursery and babysits for various ministries. Our family loves helping out during VBS and Grace Kids events, and we also host a community group in our home.

How did God lead you to be involved in those areas?

Over the past 20 years at RGC, our volunteer roles have changed as God has led us and as our children have grown. We started in the nursery and gradually moved up to serving in older classes. Our love for teaching, playing games, and interacting with kids has shaped the ways we serve. Hosting a community group has also been a meaningful way to connect with and encourage others in the church.

How have you seen God at work in our church community?

There have been many changes at RGC over the years, and friends have come and gone. But through it all, God has remained our constant rock. We have seen him work through challenging situations—both in our personal lives and in the lives of those around us. He has never abandoned us, and we feel blessed to serve in such a wonderful community with our broader church family.

Could you tell us some interesting facts about you?

Our family enjoys travel, sports, and movie nights together. As a homeschooling family, we’ve been blessed by the support and friendships found in the RGC Co-op homeschooling community. When we’re not busy with school or sports, we love spending time outdoors hiking and making memories with friends and family. We love living life with our wonderful neighbors.
