Paul Shirey Non-Staff Elder

Paul joined the Leadership Team in April 2018. In addition to leading a Community Group, he is involved with discipleship, RGC Facility management, advancing the gospel, and counseling situations.

He and his wife, Kathy, have four adult children (Rachel, Jed, Joel, and Lydia) plus five grandchildren.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and retired from Fairfax County Government in 2023.

When not serving the church, Paul enjoys spending time with Kathy and the family, hiking, being at the beach, golfing, swimming, and playing banjo.
